As a child I dreamed of flying, and built devices with which I leapt off the garage roof--I got very good at crashing. Because I had no guide, I didn't fly until my late thirties. In my presentations I use humor to relay the magic of flight so that aviation is open to anyone. For those who prefer to stay on the ground, I explore the power, grace, and possibility of the human imagination.

I am the FAA's 2023 Flight Instructor of the Year for Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. While this is an honor, it is also a responsibility and opportunity to share the possibilities and science of aviation. You can request a free presentation at airshows, museums, or schools throughout 2023.

As a retired child psychotherapist I have extensive experience working with children. I've been teaching teenagers to fly for thirty-three years.
